At Maritime Container Services, we are committed to supplying quality shipping containers and storage solutions that meet customer expectations for durability and performance. This Warranty Policy outlines the coverage and limitations applicable to our products.

New Container Warranty

Brand new one-trip containers are covered by a limited structural warranty against major defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.

Coverage Includes

  • Structural integrity of the container

  • Wind and watertight protection

  • Functional cargo doors and locking mechanisms

  • Major manufacturing defects

Warranty Period

  • New containers: Up to 12 months from delivery date unless otherwise specified

Used Container Warranty

Used containers are sold based on condition grading at the time of purchase.

Wind & Watertight Guarantee

Used containers sold as “Wind & Watertight” are guaranteed to:

  • Prevent water intrusion under normal weather conditions

  • Maintain basic structural integrity suitable for storage use

Used containers may show signs of previous shipping use including:

  • Surface rust

  • Dents and scratches

  • Cosmetic wear

  • Patches or repairs

These cosmetic conditions are not considered warranty defects.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Cosmetic wear or paint damage

  • Rust caused by improper maintenance or environmental conditions

  • Damage caused during relocation after delivery

  • Customer modifications or alterations

  • Damage from misuse, overloading, accidents, or natural disasters

  • Flooring wear from chemical exposure or heavy machinery

  • Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or custom modifications unless separately covered

Delivery & Site Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • Proper site preparation

  • Stable and level placement surfaces

  • Adequate drainage and ventilation

  • Safe operational use of the container

Improper installation or site conditions may void warranty coverage.

Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim, customers must:

  1. Contact our support team within the warranty period

  2. Provide proof of purchase

  3. Submit photos and description of the issue

  4. Allow reasonable inspection time if required

Approved claims may result in repair, replacement, or partial compensation at Maritime Container Services’ discretion.

Limitation of Liability

Maritime Container Services’ liability under this warranty is limited to the original purchase price of the container. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product use.

Policy Changes
